This year's graduation ceremony at Klostergut Paradies began with a refreshing aperitif for the graduates, trainers and guests from a total of seven GF locations in Switzerland. For some, it was the first time they had met apprentices from other locations, which provided plenty of topics for conversation.
The official opening of the celebration then took place in the auditorium, with speeches by Edin Hasific and Lukas Schönwetter. Here, those present looked back together on the highlights and events of the individual locations in the past year. These included the apprentice camp at the Biel, Langnau and Seewis locations, the Sports Day in Losone, the joint trade fair appearance of the Biel and Subingen locations at BAM Live, the NoTimeToWaste event in Sissach and the presence of the Schaffhausen apprentices at the Annual Shareholders‘ Meeting in April 2024.
The highlight of the morning was the internally produced motivational video and the speech by Enrico Güntert, the track and field athlete and ambassador for the Schaffhausen Vocational Training Center. Peter Ziswiler's speech also met with great interest. Both guest speakers were able to inspire and motivate the audience with their words.
After the official part of the ceremony, it was finally time to present the well-deserved certificates and gifts. The graduates from Schaffhausen had the opportunity to choose a high-quality watch worth CHF 300, which was presented to them on this special day. Finally, it was time to officially say goodbye to Edin Hasific as Head of Vocational Training Schaffhausen. The BBK Schaffhausen wishes Edin all the best for his future career at GF and thanks him for his tireless efforts, his boundless commitment and his great achievements over the past years.
Our graduates
Despite the changeable weather, the festivities continued after the ceremony in the courtyard of the monastery, where guests were treated to food from local food trucks. With dishes from Carcajou, delicious pizzas from Pizza Corra and refreshing ice cream from Eisvelo, guests and graduates mingled and networked. We were delighted that a number of vocational trainers and the Managing Director of Wibilea accepted our invitation to spend the day with the graduates. The atmosphere was relaxed and the graduation ceremony was a great success.
We congratulate all graduates on their great achievements and wish them all the best for their future professional challenges. A big thank you also goes to all guests, speakers and helpers who contributed to making this day an unforgettable experience.
We are proud of the graduates of Georg Fischer AG and wish them a successful future!
