Our training professions

Electronics engineer

Robert Ey:

"When I see a tangle of cables somewhere, my fingers start to tingle and I want to start tidying up and connecting everything correctly and neatly. Most of the time, I'm also very good at staying on top of things in hectic situations and can work with great concentration even when I'm under pressure."

Your challenge

Our modern and fully automated production facilities must be available at all times. You will be involved in the commissioning of new systems right from the start and will be responsible for the professional maintenance and repair of electrical equipment.

You will be the first point of contact for any malfunctions or system failures. You will gain an overview of the situation and react quickly to get production up and running again. To do this, you will learn to understand technical schematics and circuit diagrams and systematically get to the bottom of malfunctions. You will also be able to test electrical functions and systems.

Our equipment is highly automated and complex. This requires skilled workers who are well trained to program robotics and control systems.

  • Vocational school: Eibiswald

This job suits you if...

Production metrology technician – Production measurement

    Leonie Mitterer:

"I love to work precisely. Logical thinking comes easily to me, and if there's a little problem to solve here or there, I can really get to grips with it. I tinker and analyze until I find a solution. Quality is paramount in our industry - I'm proud to work in this sensitive area."

    Your challenge

Our components are subject to the highest quality standards. Tolerances range from a few hundredths to thousandths of a millimeter.

Our measuring experts work with 3D coordinate measuring machines from various manufacturers, optical measuring systems, surface measuring devices for recording roughness and contour curves.

As a metrology technician, you will professionally apply the appropriate measuring methods and equipment, document the results, and coordinate them with your colleagues in production.

In this way, you ensure the top quality of our components.

    Apprenticeship program

    • Vocational school: Graz

    This job suits you if...

    • you like precision work.
    • you like responsibility.
    • planning is easy for you.
    • you are good at analysis and logical thinking.
    • you are interested in connections and processes.
    • you like to tinker with problems until they are solved.

Foundry technician – Non-ferrous metal casting

      Lukas Pölzl:

"I was fascinated by the big machines right from the start. It is a good feeling to work on such powerful equipment and often make small adjustments to bring about big changes. The processes involved in melting the material are also exciting for me. You wouldn't believe how much dexterity it takes to make a perfect alloy."

      Your challenge

As a foundry technician, you will be involved in all stages of the production of our castings. Your tasks will cover the entire manufacturing process of a cast part: You will be responsible for the composition of the metal alloy, melting, casting and subsequent finishing. You will assist in setting up and adjusting the die casting system.

Through inspections, you will identify and analyze casting defects and independently implement measures to correct them and, ideally, prevent them in the future.

You will also learn the basics of metal fabrication. This includes welding, thermal cutting and quality assurance. After your training, no one will be able to fool you: You will be a specialist in the entire casting process!

      • you have good observation skills.
      • you have an interest in physical and engineering processes.
      • you have strong technical skills and spatial awareness.
      • you are physically fit.
      • you have a high level of safety awareness.

        Mechatronics engineer – Automation technology

        Laura Faninger:

"Being a mechatronics engineer is so good for me because I have to deal with all the technical areas of the company. Whether it's control technology, metalworking or electronics, I'm in demand everywhere. If you like variety, want to be in contact with people and know your way around the company, I can really recommend this job."

        Your challenge

Whether control technology, pneumatics or hydraulics, as a mechatronics engineer you will ensure that our modern and fully automated production systems are available at all times. You will be involved in the commissioning of new systems right from the start and will be responsible for the professional maintenance and repair of mechatronic systems.

You will learn to detect, isolate and eliminate a wide range of faults and malfunctions in the automation systems and to find potential for improvement in the installations.

You will also learn to understand technical blueprints such as hydraulic, pneumatic and electrical blueprints.

        • you stay calm even when things get stressful.

Metal technician – Mechanical engineering technology

          Janick Fluch:

"I'm a real tinkerer and I like working with metal. If something is broken and I manage to fix it, it's a great feeling. For example, when we set up a new system, I'm on the front line making sure everything is connected correctly and properly."

          Your challenge

Your tasks will include the manufacture, assembly, installation, commissioning, maintenance and repair of machines, machine parts and systems. You will learn from scratch how mechanics, hydraulics, pneumatics and electrics work together.

You will work on the installation and commissioning of new systems and play an active role in the rebuilding and modernization of existing systems.

You will apply your knowledge in a wide range of areas, from die casting systems to high-precision machining systems. You will be responsible for ensuring that production processes run smoothly.

All of these tasks require you, your ideas and your craftsmanship!

          Apprenticeship program

          • Duration: 3.5 years
          • Vocational school: Knittelfeld

          This job suits you if...

          • you have good spatial awareness and quick comprehension.
          • you have good manual dexterity.
          • you are interested in the structure and function of technical devices.

            Metal technician – Tooling technology

            Gerold Gsellmann:

"The job is exciting because it allows me to use my strengths: I have a good imagination and I find it easy to think logically. When I read technical drawings and use them to make the spare parts for our systems, I know exactly how important it is to work precisely so that our products are of the right quality."

            Your challenge

In order to manufacture our products, we need technically sophisticated "tools" that are used in the fully automated die casting systems. In technical terms, these are called "die casting molds" and "stamping tools".

These tools require regular service and maintenance as well as various optimizations to ensure that the high quality of the components is maintained.

You will carry out these activities professionally and manufacture spare and wear parts. This is done according to technical drawings and designs on the latest computer-aided (CNC) machines, such as lathes, milling machines or electric discharge machines (EDM). After assembly, testing and commissioning, your work has a direct impact on the quality of our products.
