GF Machining Solutions Losone specializes in the development and production of EDM (die-sinking and wire EDM) equipment.

Our training center has trained more than 1,000 apprentices since 1954. We offer apprenticeships in the following areas:

Design engineer, Federal VET Diploma

Your challenge

Design engineers must approach mechanical design with exceptional precision to guarantee that components fit seamlessly and perform as intended. Choosing the right materials for each element is equally crucial, ensuring durability, strength, and optimal functionality. Effective project planning and management are essential to meet deadlines while maintaining cost efficiency.

Apprenticeship program

Basic apprenticeship training within our company, combined with school courses at the Professional School for Crafts and Industry. Additionally, there is an opportunity to pursue the Integrated Technical Vocational Baccalaureate (SPAI) at the Professional Technical Center (CPT) in Bellinzona.

    Electronics engineer, Federal VET Diploma

    Your challenge

    Our modern and fully automatic production lines must always work. You will help from the start to set up new machines and take care of the maintenance and repair of electrical equipment.

    If a machine breaks down or stops working, you are the first person people call. You will check the situation and act quickly to get production running again. You will learn how to read electrical and technical circuit plans and solve problems step by step. Soon, you will also be able to check if electrical systems and functions are working correctly.

    Our machines are highly automated and complex, so we need skilled and well-trained people to program robots and controls.

        • Duration: 3 years
          (3+1 for the SMC pathway with professional baccalaureate)
