In beautiful summer weather, the Apprenticeship Program Commission welcomed guests from various locations in Switzerland. Although the group was smaller than last year, the atmosphere was just as festive. Before the official program began, everyone enjoyed refreshments, shared memories, and congratulated the graduates on their next step.
Inspiration for the next chapter
Patrick Cyril, Head of Apprenticeship Program Schaffhausen and Switzerland, opened the celebration with a warm welcome and words of recognition. Lukas Schoenwetter, Head of the Corporate Apprenticeship Program & Employer Branding, then congratulated the graduates on their achievement.
The keynote speakers, Matthias Blumentrath, Corporate Secretary at GF, and Enrico Güntert, sprinter and GF Apprenticeship Ambassador, added powerful inspiration. Matthias encouraged the graduates to embrace change while staying true to their values. Enrico shared insights from elite sports and motivated everyone to set clear goals and pursue their dreams with determination.
Certificates, gifts and a personal keepsake
After the speeches, it was time for certificates and gifts. As a special memento of their time at GF, all graduates received a personalized lunchbox engraved with their name, a voucher, and a selection of GF goodies.
Another highlight was the farewell to Thomas Maag, Managing Director of Wibilea, who retired after many years dedicated to apprenticeship training.

Great food and engaging conversations
The celebration continued in the courtyard with freshly baked pizza and focaccia. A refreshing treat from the “Glace-Velo” ice cream bike rounded out the summer atmosphere.
With pride, gratitude, and plenty of joyful moments, Graduation Ceremony 2025 became a memorable day for everyone involved. Congratulations to all graduates, and best wishes for your next chapter.
