Seewis has been manufacturing plastic pipework systems for over 50 years and offers system solutions with service in all project phases. The systems are used in industry and supply, e.g. for cooling, chemical processes and for municipal drinking water and waste water pipes.

Job description

Automation technicians are responsible for the construction and maintenance of electrical control and automation systems. They build control systems, devices, machines, and automation systems, commission them, carry out repairs, and create technical documentation.

      Job description

      You manufacture parts and prototypes from various metals and plastics in different shapes and sizes. You set up machines and program them using 3D computer programs. To do this, you use modern, often computer-assisted drilling, turning, milling, and grinding machines, as well as many other machine tools.

      We are committed to the qualified workers of the future.

      Every year, schoolchildren visit us during the MINT Camp. Our apprentices can pass on their knowledge and skills to the participants. During the week, we receive pedagogical support from PH GR students. It's a great event every year. 

      MINT camp, students solder and check the instructions for manufacturing the LED.

      In the first and second year of apprenticeship, we spend a week at a community and provide active support. Team building, safety, fun and experiencing something completely new brings us together.

      1st and 2nd year of apprenticeship at the apprentice camp with GF Sissach, Subingen and Biel.

      FAQ

      How do I get to Seewis?

      The Seewis Pardisla stop is right behind our plant. It's just under a 10-minute train ride from Landquart.

      How many vacation days do I get?

      You get seven weeks of vacation during your first year of apprenticeship, six weeks during your second year, and five weeks during your third and fourth years.

      Do you offer any other benefits?

      Yes, of course there are more:

      • We will contribute CHF 80.00 per year to your gym membership.
      • We have an employee counselling service (social worker) that also supports you with business and private problems. 
      • Or are you interested in an apprenticeship as an athlete? We will support you there as well.
